PROGRAM
Children learn at an astronomical rate when they are young. It is in this critical period of time that we must ensure they are engaged in stimulating activities. Our programs are unique, developed by the experts at The Von Premium Childcare Network, and has been proven in the field. Our daily routine involves regular themed based arts & crafts, physical activity, early numeracy, early literacy, music, drama and positive socialization. Developed specifically for the Von Premium Childcare Network in England, the curriculum we offer is designed to be delivered in a multi-age environment so that children can learn to interact positively while engaged in interesting activities.

HEALTH & SAFETY
And of course, safety is always our top priority. Through our relationship with Von Premium Childcare Network, our programs have been risk assessed and are checked on an ongoing basis to ensure quality assurance. Our programs have a fire escape plan, daily routines that maintain a hygienic environment, and regular safety checks. On top of being qualified, experienced and professional, our program directors are all first aid qualified and police checked. And through our relationship with the Von Premium Childcare Network, our program director has ongoing access to health & safety advice in case questions arise during the day to day operations of the program.

ACADEMICS​
​Our first program pillar involves early exposure to literacy and numeracy. ECS teachers love it when children graduate from a Von Premium Childcare Network member program into their early years of formal education because they come well equipped in early literacy & numeracy.

 

All Von Premium Childcare Network member programs run a specialised curriculum to ensure that children of all ages are getting a good grounding in the basics. Developed by our specialists who have direct experience in the English infant school system, we have spent a great deal of time and effort developing our one of a kind curriculum to ensure children engage in academic learning that is fun and interactive.

FINE ARTS​
​Our second program pillar relates to creative expression. At Serengeti Dayhomes, we believe in the value of the arts as an outlet for learning. To this end, our team of fine arts specialists we access through the Von Premium Childcare Network have between them over 50 years of experience developing program for the public and separate school boards. Their efforts have ensured that our curriculum is infused with fine arts integration in the form of age appropriate music, arts & crafts, dance and drama.  Each day children engage in these activities.



To keep parents in the loop, a cross section of the fine arts songs & activities are also included in monthly newsletters that directors put out to parents!

SOCIALIZATION
As the third pillar in our 3 pillar approach to early learning, the social aspect is one of our key focuses. From polite table manners, respect for others and respect for self, we reinforce positive socialization  in all our programs.  In fact, it is integrated in to the curricular activities we do in all our programs

Our directors also take a 'common sense' approach to working with children that relates to the golden rule, treat others as you would want to be treated yourself.  Pretty simple, but a great basic philosophy to life we reinforce during these critical foundation years.
