1. For all manual defrost freezers, it is recommended for it to be defrosted every six months.
 

2. For optimum washablity in most dishwashers, it is recommended to turn on the hot water tap at the sink until the water is as hot as possible before running the machine.
 

3. The soap cup in the dishwasher was designed for loose detergents, so dishwashing tabs should be put in the bottom of the machine.
 

4. For best baking temperatures, it is recommended to preheat your oven for 30 minutes, for temperatures 350-375 degrees Fahrenheit.
 

5. For best baking temperatures, it is recommended to preheat your oven for 40 minutes for all temperatures 400 degrees Fahrenheit or higher.
 

6. To keep your refrigerator from overheating, make sure to clean your condenser at least once a year, for homes with pets, this should done more often.
 

7. Cleaning your dryer vent yearly, will insure best drying results.
 

8. To reduce air born food particles from causing odor problems in your refrigerator, you can install a carbon based air filter near the air duct in the fridge section.
 

9. For best drying results in your dryer, use rigid metal pipe only, and make sure not to exceed the venting requirements that are described in the use and care guide that comes with the dryer.
 

10. If your dishwasher has a removable filter, make sure to clean the filter regularly for best wash pressure.
 

11. If your range has a glass top (without induction) all cookware must be perfectly flat, so elements cycle properly.
 

12. If you own an induction top range, the best cookware to use, will be labelled 'For Induction' on the bottom of the cookware.
 

13. For frontload washers, use HE detergent only, I highly recommend detergent under the brand name Persil.
 

14. To avoid odors in your frontload washer, make sure to run your Tub Clean Cycle regularly.
 

15. When loading your cutlery basket in your dishwasher, make sure smaller cutlery does not stick through the holes in basket, this may cause your spray arm not to turn properly.
 

16. The amount of detergent needed in  your frontload washer depends on the dirtiness of your clothing, and the hardness of your water. 1 to 2 tablespoons of HE detergent is adequate for most average loads.
 

17. If your dryer is running in a closet or in a small laundry room, make sure your door is ether left open, or is properly vented for adequate air circulation.
 

18. Refrigerators with water filters, where the water comes from a well and without a water softener; your filter should be changed more frequently than what the factory recommends.
 

19. For an oven with a hidden bake element, never put tin foil on the bottom cavity of the oven, this could cause damage to the cavity or cause problems with the oven temperature.
 

20. When cooking on the top of the range or have your oven in a self clean cycle, all over the range microwaves should have the exhaust fan on to avoid damage to the controls.
 

21. When using a garburator make sure to flush with cold water to insure that fat contents in food solidify and pass as small particles without sticking to drainage pipes.
 

22. In hard water areas without a softener, descale your dishwasher monthly to prevent poor wash pressure, do this by preheating water at sink and adding about two cups of vinegar into the dishwasher as it starts the first fill, then let it complete the cycle. (without dishes in the machine.)
 

23. If your oven has a visual bake element, do not use loose tin foil under the bake element. This may cause temperature problems and shorten the life of the element.
 

24. When transporting a refrigerator make sure it is upright, laying it down during transport may cause compressor damage.
 

25. All articles in the cupboard above a glass top range should be light weight so if anything falls out of the cupboard it likely won't damage the cook top.
 

26. To avoid possible damage to your microwave it is best to run it with 8 or more ounces of product.
 

27. Frequent use of microwaveable popcorn has been known to cause damage to your microwave.
 

28. Avoid using dishes with a metallic trim on it in your microwave.
 

29. In your fridge freezer store fast moving food items to avoid freezer burning.
 

30. Both refrigerators and freezers are not recommended to be used in a unheated garage during the winter months.
 

31. When storing appliances that use water, they must be winterized if temperatures drop below 0 degrees.
 

32. If your dryer but doesn't heat, first try to reset your breaker(off-on) as it may be internally tripped causing voltage lost at the element.
 

33. For proper balancing of the load in a frontload washer, make sure not to overload, you should have a little space at the top of your load.
 

34. Remember to empty pockets on clothing before washing, loose change has been known to damage pump impellers.
 

35. To avoid off-balance loads in a frontload washer, make sure all fabrics are of same the density.
 

36. To bust a myth about dishwashers; no brands to-date have built-in garburators, they have what is called a macerator blade designed only for small food particle break down.
 

37. When setting up or installing appliances, remove all packing(including, straps and bolts on frontload washers)to avoid appliance damage. Remember to keep packing so you can reinstall if you ever need to move the appliance.
 

38. A razor blade can be used to clean a glass top range if you use cook-top cream between the blade and the glass.
 

39. Avoid using oven cleaners on a self clean oven, this has been known to cause damage to the oven liner or break the glass.
 

40. To wash small articles,  swim suits, and bra's with under-wires in a frontload washer, they should always be in a laundry bag.
